The data from my weather station now indicates that the mean temperature so far in May this year exceeds the warmest month (June) last year! Had to pick all my Sprouting Broccoli and put it in the fridge. The Cauliflowers which I hope would be ready next month are now blooming, and the Spring Cabbages are tight - I'm hoping they will keep but I guess the neighbours will be enjoying them.
But it's been great for the germination of carrots - with plenty of watering - and I hope the parsnips will appreciate the heat as well.
