Having given up the idea of an electric heater in my p/tunnel due to safety issues, I wonder if using paraffin heaters in it is OK. Its not going to harm the plastic (melt it) is it? Sorry if this seems a daft question

Hi Brooklynodog,
There is nothing daft about your question.
Just so long as the heater is well away from sides and is situated on the floor no harm will come to your tunnel. I can assure you that the sun during the summer will exert more heat onto the polythene than your paraffin heater.
