My rasp canes are six foot high. Can I trim them back a few feet without damaging them?

Hi Jim,
Unable to give any advice until I know how old they are and what variety they are.

I keep mine trimmed to a reasonable size all of the time. Feed them to my goats

Hi Jim, The books say you can trim the tops off to the top of the wire they are tied to, but I usually bend the tops of any really tall ones over and tie the tops on to the wire. Arching them over seems to encourage more flowers.
