Has anyone had any success with cultivating wild garlic? If so, any tips?

If by wild garlic you mean ramsons, your question should be how do you get rid of it once you've got it!
We love eating it but prefer to pick it from the wild. If you want to grow it, dig up a few clumps and plant it. It will look after itself - but prefers damp shaded places. After a few years it may have seeded quite widely.

We planted two clumps in the front garden under the trees last year. They are still recognisable as clumps, but have spread a bit. I expect they will be rampant next year, but we don't mind. We have had some in omelettes and salads and its great.

I love the smell, it reminds me so much of those childhood years when I would arrive home in the evening after a day in the woods, reeking of the stuff and shouting 'please Mum, can I go out again after tea, please oh please...'

We have encouraged it from the other side of the stream into what we call dingly dell. Apart from the obvious use as a herb, it takes over from ground elder, which is pretty unusual!
