I put a seed tray of cabbages on the back bedroom window ledge to germinate but forgot about them for several days.
They`ve germinated all right but they`re skinny, leggy seedlings - very frail looking.
Could I plant them up to the leaves in deeper trays or do I have to wait until they have `true leaves` rather than the seed leaves before I can do this?
I do hope I can rescue them.
Leggy seedlings

Hi Elderflower,
I am saddened to say this but I would scrap them and start again. You would do far better by planting then outside suitably protected by a pane of glass or clear polythene. It is probably too hot in you house although you may not realise it.
JB.
