Haven't checked my greenhouse as i've been unable to get to the lottie. Back has been playing up so unable to move very far at all. Was very upset. There I was, flat on my back, and was Bono available to give me tlc.....was he s***e

I've had a few odd dreams too.....maybe tell you later (it made the family laugh anyway and me worry about my priorities  )

I have lost some glass a few weeks ago so, hopefully, haven't lost anymore. Will try to get down in the next day or so.
Lots of love

Fortunately (or unfortunately as I don't have a shed) I don't have to worry about losing its roof in heavy winds. But I do keep an eager eye on the weather forecast whenever gales are forecast now and make sure I don't leave any washing out overnight. I'm still smarting about Bill Fish's lack of warning prior to the 1987 Gale. I left my washing out overnight and it was all completely blown away. I never did recover any of it and I never did have the nerve to ask around in case anybody had found my knickers.

Now i'm back on my tootsies again, i'll go to the lottie and see if there's any more glass missing from my greenhouse - and see if it's still standing.

We are due for more high winds early next week so that's put the seed sowing on hold for a while. I'm sure things will catch up though - they normally do.

Dear Lizzie, glad you're back on your tootsies again.

What about these dreams. :?:

Anyone else noticed a lot of big bumble bees this year, even more than last year, and that was the most i had seen for many a long year.

Ok Herby....i'll tell you my odd dream then (although I have a feeling i'm making a terrible mistake)

I was at a U2 gig at the new Liverpool Arena. There I was, right at the front dancing away. The next thing, I can feel myself being hauled up and find myself on the stage, facing 70,000 people (I don't know why that number, it was just in my dream)

The next thing, i'm being sung to. A beautiful love song is being crooned to me by Bono, with the lights down.

So, what do I do? Rugby tackle the poor sod? Indulge in full orgy with the boys in the band? Stand and cry because i'm the only person being sung to? Believe my luck that I'm chosen out of all those thousands?

No. I don't do any of the above. I listen for a while, roll my eyes, grab the micrphone and say to a rock God "Oh for Jesus' sake, for the love of God. Bono, for once in your life will you please shut the **** up. Can't we have a bit of peace and quiet for once?"

The rest of the band look stunned. Bono looks suitably ticked off, the crew can't believe their ears and the crowd is deathly silent. I then pick up the microphone again and say "I'm bored with this.....does anyone fancy a curry?"

At that, 50,000 people scream "YES PLEASE" and I get on the phone to the Sultans Palace Balti House and book tables for 50,000 people.

I then woke up very confused.......... :?

Dear Lizzie, i don't think that you have made a terrible mistake at all, by telling us your dream.

It sounds as if you need all the help you can get.
I would say your dream is trying to tell you that you like being centre of attention.

I must admit, i too have the most strange dreams, and yes some of you lot have featured in them.

Oh Herby.....I hate being the centre of attention. I'm always the one hiding at the back........

I don't think I could hear about your dreams Herby. It would set my therapy back years

Heaven forbid OH...If the Weed featured in any of your dreams that would classify it as a Nightmare!

As I get older I seem to have several dreams each night many of them really weird... I wish I could understand their meaning..

Dear Weed, there is a lady that lives down the road from me, and she has a book on dreams and nightmares, and there meanings.

So if your dreams are similar to mine, i would start worrying.

I couldn't resist it...I popped down to the Lottie today to see if there was any wind damage.... my main concern was my greenhouses

Thankfully no one appears to have suffered this time around although I was half expecting a few shed roofs to have disappeared.

Commiseration to anybody who has been affected by the gales! We seem to be in the eye of it because there has hardly been a breeze all day, though it's been raining hard since noon. I believe the North of England is going to cop it the next few days, so we'll batten down the hatches.
