I haven't got our KG copy yet (we get from the village shop) and you have certainly whetted my appetite.

We get a large number of magazines on different subjects every month (not having a TV) and they are all passed on to other people, both to individuals and the old folks' sheltered housing where they are much appreciated.

I am just getting round to reading the March issue... its been a busy week

It was wonderful to see the article on the Redhill Allotment site in North Leicester has been redeveloped...my old granddad had a plot on there in his latter years... I have planted many a Homeguard spud on that site.

The site has for so many years now looked derelict I could never understand why it hadn't been built on.
I am in my own little world, ...it's OK, ...they know me there!

Just to let everyone know we do an annual index in Kitchen Garden which appears in the December issue. I should know having had the job of going through every issue last year and making a note of topics and page numbers.

Sold out of the Feb edition - no surprise there! Glad to see that the JM fans didn't let me down. I will admit that I bought a few extra copies to give away.

Interestingly we would have sold more if the free seeds had been stuck on the right hand side of the cover rather than firmly fixed to James' face. That stopped the 'casual' purchases that arise when people see the magazine on the shelf. However, all the websites and forums carried references to the article, so word got out.

Don't be miffed!

PM me your full name and postcode and I'll check up on your order for you.
We can soon post out another copy free of charge, and I can have our team pop some extra free seeds in too if you like (we have lots of Leeks and Spring onions!)

March issue - does that cover what to do in March or in February? Confusing, though the current Organic Gardening issue for what to do in Feb is the Winter issue (with the February issue covering what to do in January)! Hurray for Gaby :D !

Why cant KG join the raft of other magazines that are part of the Tesco Clubcard Deals, surely if KG was part of that scheme it would:
A) increase circulation
B) increase the grow it, eat it, live healthy lifestyle we have all chosen.
If I can't eat it I don't grow it
