When is the best time to set Shallot seed?,I have an unheated ghouse with a heated propergator.Chantal was kind enough to give me some seed and I do'nt want to waste it.

Go for it!

I have one lot germinated inside already and two further trays in an unheated greenhouse. This timinng worked ok for me last year so hopefully will do the same for you.
