Only partly read mine but "Mixing It!" - anybody think their rotation plan is anything like sensible?
Manure for carrots, lime after Brassicas - I think not. Two lots of green manure but the nitrogen fixing one after the Brassicas.
Ignore this article I think.
PS : I've read so many articles about restoring walled gardens but I think most of them have got it wrong. Look at the pictures of Doddington Hall - how can those walls be protecting anything like that area. Surely the original layout would have included cross hedges or other structures to break the wind up? This seems to happen on all these restorations where the wall is expected to protect a vast area.
