Makes me sound like a Jetsetter, went there a few years ago and did the disney thing which I could go on about for a while but Disney might not be your thing.
Kennedy Space Center was interesting especially the part where they have a whole Saturn 5 rocket inside a hall on it's side, they had one left over unused when they stopped the programme in the late seventies.
We went to Cocoa Beach and Daytona Beach, great surf and at Cocoa Beach they have the biggest surf shop in the USA (Ron Jon's) If you hire a car, don't upgrade at the airport as you will get a motor bigger than you need or are used too!
I guess the rest depends on where you will be located as Florida is a big state, and not everything is 'doable' on a day trip basis.

hi compo
we are in a3 bed appartment on the outskirts of orlando, allready booked a seven seat van, got the 2 little kids and the big un and his wife to haul about, the big argument will be how long we simply have to spend in disney, there appears to be so much other stuff to see that i could happilly not visit the big parks atall but that wouldnt please the 4 little ones, there again we do have the option of leaving the 4 of them to go on their own. ...really must get back to the paperwork
