What ARE you all doing? OH, you have no need to answer that as we all know what you're up to, looking at dodgy websites
It's so quiet on here

Where is everyone? I've never known it this quiet, especially as the weather is cold and wet and the nights are so long.

I`m afraid I`m just lurking!
I do log on every day and read everybody`s posts but I don`t seem to have anything useful or interesting or entertaining to say.
Oh woe - it`s come to this - brain the size of a planet - nothing to contribute - I`ll just stand in the corner shall I? -

I've been looking after my old mum who's been poorly for a few weeks. Haven't even been the plot for a while either. Had daughters 18th birthday bashes too.
I just don't seemt o have found the time to scratch my bum lately........
Grock has been working all odd hours too.
Still, should be back on track soon.

I was just thinking the same thing...it is like a ghost town. I'm afraid I mostly lurk, due to shyness!!

Dear Retropants, please don't be shy.
You could make it your winter project not to lurk, but to make us all laugh.
I'm a little shy if the truths known, but i'm determined to overcome it.

Yeah I noticed that it is quiet, I guess the end of the season was a bit mixed for most people, we took a holiday to Cyrprus, nice but expensive!! The plot needed clearing of the old sweetcorn (poor crop) should have watered more me thinks. Runner beans (ditto) and spuds (blight) I compensated with lots of late salads, autumn carrots and January King Cabbage(picking now) (nice).
We had the AGM, I am not chair any more but somehow still running the show till the new style management committee can take the reins. We had a dung drop, how come everyone insists on having theirs first because it is Saturday and they have somewhere special to go (what about Compo!!) Anyway the young farmers raised 200 squid for the dung drop for the air ambulance........good shout!!
So now I am busy digging, mending raised beds and paths and spreading the dung, not this weekend though I think it will be sodden after all this rain.
So there we go Chantal a few digits to make the forum swell a bit. My KG subscription has expired but have been told to wait till Christmas ... wonder why?
Good to hear everyone's news but sorry some folk are struggling with ill health, this time last year I had my pacemaker fitted (and I was only 48!) 12 months on it is still working well and have just passed my annual MOT.
Enough of compo ranting on a bit, look forward to reading more of the thread, thanks for starting it Chantal

It won'te have been real people John, it would have been bots up to no good, it's happened before. Good reason for member only postings
You have been busy Compo. I've been to the plot several times to pick stuff but the weather's been horrible, especially last weekend. I'm hoping for some decent weather soon as there's lots to do know we've had a frost.
Don't be bashful Retropants, just dive in and say what you like. OH always does
I hope life improves for everyone else who's either sick or looking after the sick

I was interested in your comment about your pacemaker, Compo. I had the good fortune to watch an elderly gent being fitted with one when I did my hospital placement. He looked and felt weak and weedy when he arrived; pacemaker was duly slotted in, calibrated and switched on. He got visibly pinker and felt much better - he almost skipped out of the room. Amazing piece of kit.
