I hope I'm wrong but have we come to this?

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

I found this http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/vine/galleries/563/
following on from the Harlequin ladybird link.
Do you think the people doing the lifting and weighing of the pumpkins have been made to wear the flourescent "be safe" uniforms and hard hats because of health and safety issues? I hope theres another reason...S.T.
I can see there are children there, I know some one will come back with the reason why, but lord above A pumpkin competition!.ive been growing and occasionally showing pumpkins for over 30 years and never been hit on the head by one yet! and if one was rolling down a hill at you I dont care what flourescent coat your wearing, if your numbers up buddy!...S.T.
p.s. sorry meant to put this in general chatter, if you see it Chantal could you move it please? thanking you in advance S.T.

youve missed the gloves, safety boots and the two hour safety training on how to lift them, risk assment, does the trolly have to be tested to ensure it can hold the weight , and were the scales calibrated and certified accurate...

Glad we didn't grow any pumpkins this year, I couldn't afford all the safety gear :-)
