I'll leave Piglet to fill you in the details; suffice to say that he needs a bit of sympathy right now... :?

I'll fax him a soothing cup of Horlicks and a hot water bottle, unless it's a medical problem which neither of the above items will reach !

I flew alright, in a sraight line vertically.

A warning to all, use youngmans boards or similar when on flat rofs. I was one lucky piglet.

Very glad you had a lucky escape piglet.
Hope you haven't got too many bruises.

I went through an asbestos roof in my younger days, so i second your advice of using crawling boards on roofs.

Glad you're ok Piglet.

I must say, everyone's being very polite here - was it a really close shave or just embarassing (hence no pictures of the incident on your blog)?

I think a lot of us are being polite because we have all done it at some time in our lives
I went through a ceiling in a factory many years ago (I was seventeen) whilst fetching some machines out and missed my footing... fortunately for me I landed on some racking that broke my fall

I hope you are OK Piglet....If I am in Leicester this week I will look out for a man with bruises
