Because my early sowing of Winter Squash looked rather sickly I sowed another variety - Cobnut - at the end of May (26th). These have grown well and I am wondering if it is better to harvest these now or leave them until the first frost is forecast for this area?

I would leave them in until the frost is forecast - additional time in the sun can only do them good.
We had our first frost in NW Wales last night - fortunately my squashes/pumpkins were in last week before the first ground frost.

Thanks Alan. Actually I have just read November KG which gives the answers there, also suggesting bringing indoors for a couple of weeks to finish ripening off if necessary.
