Have an enjoyable break, S.T. We looked inside some motor homes at a centre near us a few months ago. I couldn't believe how luxurious and comfortable some of them looked with their built in showers, etc. Definitely an improvement on camping this time of year ! My husband keeps talking about hiring one for a week and giving it a try but I'm just wondering how much hassle it would be remembering to pack all the kitchen equipment, etc to enable him to cook to the standard he enjoys. (He never does things by halves and I'm not sure I could stand the stress if we discovered we'd forgotten to pack his favourite sharp knife or cheese grater !!)

I owned several motorhomes when the children were small and had many happy holidays both in the UK and on the continent.
The biggest drawback to them I found is parking the darned thing...this has to be considered well in advance as many car parks have height restricting barriers.
I am in my own little world, ...it's OK, ...they know me there!

Hi Primrose,Hi Weed, Just got back a few hours ago,had a great time as always, just went to see Mum for a few days.Recommend motorhoming to anyone who's thinking about it. It certainly teaches you about living together, and if you don't stick the bread knife in the missus after 2 days its really great! Most motorhomers(well all that we have met)are great too and mainly dog friendly which, is another thing with us, to be able to take the two mutts and no restrictions ....Rgds ..S.T.
