£15 per annum for a 10 rod plot. That includes water via a tap and £1 society membership fee.
Hosepipe rents are an additional £8 per plot but these are optional.

Thank you,OH, I think in our case it was the Parish Council who asked for the rent rise because of the provision of water last autumn. It's strange, though, as we have had this allotment for more than 20 years without water for most of the time, our gardening has been adjusted to this and we hardly use the trough! The ground is also well manured and composted so holds water well without being water logged.
Like you, my beloved also does the mowing of all the communal paths, but with a petrol engine Flymow because the paths are narrow and very steep, not only steep up and down but also steep sideways which is horrid to mow (I speak from experience!) .

Hi Chantal, on our allotment site I pay about £22.50 for a plot that measures 100ft x 35ft. This includes Insurance, NSALG affiliation fees, water via taps and tanks, shop and seed scheme and a communal strimmer. I think that reading the previous preplies we are all very lucky that we can rent our own piece of land for such small amounts of money in relation to what we can grow on it, considering how expensive land is to buy these days, excellent value!! regards Steve.
