Just to remind everybody of the October 1st deadline for anybody who wishes to draw up an Enduring Power of Attorney, to permit somebody to look after their affairs in event of emergency. After this date, a Lasting Power of Attorney comes into effect which has to be registered with the Court, with expensive fees, before it can be used. The Existing Power of Attorney can be used without Court registration at any time providing the donor has not lost mental capacity.
This can be done via a solicitor or if you know what you're doing, forms can be downloaded at:

Don't forget - any immediate applications can be made (fully) by the 28th of September by the current forms and current costs.
