I have decided my strawberries are knackered - weeded them today and not a single runner has been produced.
So replacement advice required. I have looked at some old threads that suggest Cambridge Favourite and Marshmello, is this still the advice?
I was thinking of using two varieties - possibly an early and a main crop.
As to suppliers - Ken Muir seems to be almost too dominant for my taste but who else is there? - anyway he doesn't sell Marshmello.
Any advice on variety and supplier would be gratefully received. I bought the last lot in pots at a garden centre and am sure they brought in vine weevil.

I grow Cambridge Favourite and ElSanta and had an excellent crop in June despite the indifferent weather. I'm now getting a second crop from them. I can't say which has performed better because I started off two years ago with just 3 plants of each, at opposite ends of the bed. When the runners came prolifically last autumn, I just planted them wherever I had space and they have got a little mixed up but I suspect it is the ElSanta which are now producing most of the second crop and the flavour has been good too. Cambridge seem to be produce fruit which are more pippy and a little bigger, but I've been happy with the flavour of both varieties.
Having tried lots of others I still favour
Marshmello from Marshalls.
