I discovered last night that Tim's comment of "the freezer's a bit iced up" didn't mean what I thought. I sadly assumed the fast freeze box at the top was getting in need of a scrape. Wrong. He said this last Sunday and I didn't look until last night. It appears the door hasn't been shut properly for around 2 weeks

I don't know what the original problem was but last night I had to chisel a fair bit back to jam the door shut overnight.
I've now managed to empty the bottom bit and the ice was all purple. This I assume means the temperature must have dropped quite radically and the meat is thus all a goner. I'm also binning prawns and the few veg that were in there as I have loads more.
However, what about ice cream? There's a lot of Cornettos, Magnums etc in there which
seem OK, but I don't want Tim to be poisoned. Does anyone know?
