No figs appearing

My four year old fig plant in a container is not showing any figs at all this year. (I had about 10 last year). Could this be due to poor weather conditions or should I be feeding it now? I gave it a small helping on manure back in the spring. A couple of the leaves have gone yellow and again I'm unsure whether this is weather-related or nutrient deficiency.

I haven't had any ripe figs this year either - it's a container-grown Brown Turkey and last year I had about six exquisite ones. The tree has about 15 figs on it right now about the size of large conkers. I actually think these are the 'first' crop ones that never ripened as opposed to the 'second' crop ones that you have to remove in the autumn.

So I guess I have two questions: if I put the whole thing in my greenhouse now might these figs ripen? And why did they not ripen earlier this summer? Can I blame the weather as usual?

Me again! I've since had 3 tiny figs appear which have dropped off. And all the leaves have also yellowed and fallen , whereas yesterday I passed an enormous fully grown fig tree awash with green leaves and bearing lots of reasonably sized figs (which probably won't ripen now). So I've come to the conclusion that either my container is too small (despite recommendations that roots be restricted) or the comost was too deficient as it as been kept moist. Think I'll offer it to a good home as I'm not sure it's really worth its keep.

Loads of figs on mine. It`s in the corner of the greenhouse in a big pot - which also has an ants` nest in it! It`s not a brown turkey but I don`t know what sort it is because my son got it out of a skip a few years ago.

We've had one crop from our Brown Turkey, which is in a biggish pot, and there's another coming, about half size fruits at present, but I think it's too late to ripen them. I'll keep my fingers crossed though. Figs are funny plants, they set the fruit this year which will ripen next year, but usually they are tiny pea sized things, not as big as the present ones, so I don't know what's happening.
Not much help really, am I!
I was told not to overwater them, as in their native situation they don't get a lot.
