Re letter from Val Edwards,[ Aug issue letters], re seed swop. A good idea, the Editor could set up a new forum [FREE SEEDS ?] if we then sent a suitable S.A.E this should get round the EU regulations. What are your thoughts ? Shallotman

Another gardening forum I was on did a seed swop and it worked fine, no problems with the Royal Mail.

I enjoyed seeing what people put in and tried a few new things. And it's a good way to get rid of seeds you don't want. I always get repeats from magazines - how many gardner's delights can one person grow?

Some if us do this via the PM system or General Chatter, as there doesn't seem to be overwhelming support for a Seed Swap Section. Don't know why.

Pehaps because for the cost of an envelope, stamp, travel to postbox, subsequent postal travel etc, not forgetting the ecological impact of it all, one can purchase a packet of seeds from a shop and use some one year and the rest the next year.
