Franksdad finally made an honest woman of me and we got married on a beach just north of Inverness on 07/06/07.
Spent two weeks in Kenya on honeymoon on safari, saw loads of fantastic animals but what I found the most interesting were the smaller animals like Mongoose & wild hares, the birds and of course the flora!
The poverty is quite hard to take especially in the towns but even there people are always smartly dressed, spotlessly clean and they all grow their own which is unsurprising since they have to walk miles and miles to get near any shops. This is a very simplified view of it as I don't want to ramble on.
Anyway, we got home to find the garden blooming, the courgettes are a couple of inches long, the beans are off the top of their canes and the tomatoes are flourishing. I dug up some of my charlotte potatoes and picked a lettuce for lunch on Sunday before settling down to catch up with KG and to my total surprise and pleasure I'd been published!!
It was a wonderful 3 week holiday but it was also wonderful to be home again
