slugs

Here in wet Doncaster at least the slugs appaear to be having a good time. Have been down to the allotment to-night spotted some peas worth picking, however, as i picked them i found that the peas were covered in slugs - ranging from 2-3mm through to one about 5cm laying around on the ground! needless to say the planned work did not get done as i spent nearly the whole time picking slugs off plants. - Quite a pot full. They seem to be getting everywhere.
