You are going to upgrade your phone because your current one is s***.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

we once buried a mobile phone belonging to a colleage in a polythene bag within the garden we were working in. They are not easy to locate in this situation in spite of calling it many times to wind him up!.

At last :!: A sensible way of dealing with the mobile phone

A few years ago a neighbour of ours, who is a drystone waller, was walling on a new bypass. He was so annoyed with the foreman's mobile, left lying on the wall, continually ringing and not being answered that he built it into the wall. No doubt it's still there and its ghostly bleating/bleeping can be heard on still nights.

I was on a train to London a few years back. This one guy was one his phone for ages, yelling his head off and really annoying everyone else. After sufficient grumbles he moved into the corridor area but left the door open so we were still all treated to his business deals. Anyway, he got louder and louder and his phone seemed to be ringing constantly, then this one guy totally snapped. He walked up to the bloke on the phone, grabbed the phone and threw it out of the door window. He didn't say a word, just went and sat down again. He got a round of applause from the rest of us and the deprived phone user didn't dare argue, he slunk off to another carriage. :D With the new trains it would never happen as there's no opening windows now.

I swear by Craghopper trousers as they have a special mobile phone pocket in the large pocket on the right thigh that is just the right size so it never slips out. Don't know what you do if you're left handed though.
