I'm getting fed up with my phone falling out of my shirt pocket whilst gardening. Does anybody know of a convenient clip type thing that would help? I don't like the leather belt pouches.

Geoff

what about velcro? It's possible to get it with sticky stuff on the back nowadays - just sew a bit in each shirt pocket....

I always put mine in my back pocket (of my jeans) and it seems to stay put.

Geoff

May a non-mobile-phone-owner be permitted a naive question?
Why do you need a mobile phone when gardening?

Fix a phone is a small pouch with a velcro strap, my wife uses it all the time. I think it came from a horse shop.

Thanks for your help - I don't think I've found the product I have in mind, perhaps I'll have to invent it.
Alan :
I've just retired and taken over my company mobile number (as pay-as-you-go)that I have had for many years, as I often worked away from my desk I got a lot of calls on it and friends and ex colleagues still use the number. I don't make many calls but at least I can receive when I am working in the garden. I also use it for companies to ring me back so I guarantee the cost is theirs rather than me calling again when I go back to the house. On the day I posted the original question for example I was waiting for the mower repair company to call and for the Aga shop to answer a complaint I had. Surprisingly Richard P I hardly get any cold sales calls on it.

My Blackberry is also my mobile 'phone and comes with a clip for your waistband/belt/pocket. Very useful as I'm on call and have to keep my 'phone near to hand.

Interestingly, I've never had any sales/cold calls on it. We don't get them on our landline either. :? :D

I'd hesitate to clip your phone to your back pocket. I did that and it went straight down the toilet.

What about getting one of those phones that you can clip a cord to to hang round your neck. You could wear it under your shirt then.

I take my phone everywhere with me and at the plot it's my security system. We're quite isolated and nutters galore seem to come and bother us. Last year found me lying on the floor hiding behind the raspberry canes, phoning for rescue, whilst a total stranger tried to take photos of me. He was quite brazen, just stood there for ages with a telephoto (I can only assume it was wide angle) lens pointed right at me. It was horrible and very scary.

Chanal,
The phone that went down the toilet, was it before or after?

You may regret asking that.

I was afterwards and it wasn't after I'd been, it was after my then lodger had been. It wasn't his fault, I chased him out of the bathroom as I was in a hell of a hurry, he'd just got out of the shower and hadn't flushed the toilet (it's complicated). It gets even worse, he'd not just been for a pee and I had to get the damned thing out. It was a right off and even if it had worked I'd not have used it.

One of my Blackbery's went down the toilet, via the clip onto the back of my trousers, but I managed to rescue it and dry it out using my hair dryer.

The result of which is........???
