I am looking to plant a strawberry bed and have a few runners from existing plants, but I need to order some more.

Can anybody advise which to order?, which has the best taste. I dont want the ping pong ball variety the supermarket sell.

thanks

I bought two varieties, a couple of years ago, El Santa and Cambridge Favourite. The first, I believe, is a favourite of commercial growers and I am rather disappointed with the flavour which I feel lacks that real "strawberry" flavour. I prefer the Cambridge Favourite. My problem is that I propagated more plants from runners and they are now all mixed up together so eventually I will clear the bed and start again, next time giving El Santa a miss.

Marshmello from Marshalls is my favourite.
Large conical shape fruit held high off the plant.
Good flavour.
