Yes, I got the reply too. I'm afraid the public relations guys at No 10 just produce the weasel words as a sop to the protesting public without anything really changing. My fear is that although the occupaant at that address is about to change, nothing else will.

Hi Allan, thanks for posting this - this forum is great for shareing this kind of info. I understand you are dissapointed with the response but the quote seems to suggest that there are already ways to get your local authority to consider new sites. I have been amazed that in our area zillions of 'regeneration' pounds have been spent on cheap appartments and housing, few of which appear to have so much as a window box let alone a garden. If 6 people can make a representaton for new plots what do they do then? I suppose thats the rub, will councils just say " we have considered you opinion (as required by law) - but the answer is no" :(
