All this talk of surgery reminds me of the time I had my appendix removed by our next door neighbour who was a surgeon. He was waiting to greet me at the Operating Theatre door, all capped and gowned in his green steriles. Apparently his colleagues were convulsed by my comments "Oh Hello John, I didn't recognise you with your clothes on".

My top wound now has a "healthy" infection and oozed a load of foul smelling gunk, so I'm on antibiotics and everything crossed. :(

I had fresh Ginger Danish and a nice coffee for breakfast. :D

Glad to hear that my medical antics are causing some good, think on it OH, stalking Jopsy will be so much easier when you are thinner, you'll be able to squeeze through that new security fence she put up to keep you out! :lol: :lol:

Two more bad oozing sessions, last thing last night and first thing this morning, led to another visit to the Doctors this morning and different advice plus a doubled antibiotic dose and a swab sent to the pathology department. :roll: The lower wound is showng sings of infection, hot, hard, swollen.

Daring to go off topic by actually refering to gardening, :shock: :roll: , my children are now fed up with strawberry picking after two goes each, but fresh strawberries are a lovely tonic to all this medical stuff. :D :D :D

Luckily i had my lunch before i read your new update. :twisted:

Jopsy went to all that trouble with her fence, then gave me a key. :wink:
I don't want to lose too much weight, as i'm pretty fit at the present, so i think i will have my dinner tonight before looking at this topic. :) :wink:

Could be, could be OH, they do fatten up old stock for winter stews down in the West Country don't they? :twisted:

My inflamed wound started to "deflate" when I sat up for tea this evening :oops: , daughters summary covers it well "Euugh Dad, you're GROSS!"

Quite relieved though as the pressure pain and inflamation has started to decrease almost straight away. :D

So Tigger, is two leaks twice the love? :wink:

Hope you get well soon Peter. I have a vision of you doing Reggie Perrin\leather chair type parpy noises every time you sit down :shock: :lol:

The gas may be from the op - they pump it into you to separate things out a bit so it's easier to get the bit they want. My mate had an abdonimal op a couple of years back and they gave her a leaflet beforehand explaining this and saying it may cause some discomfort for a bit afterwards until it dispersed.
