Still no cuckoo, but, as might have been expected after my post yesterday, the swallows have arrived this morning.

No cuckoo yet but there's a pesky and very noisy pair of wood pigeons in a tree. Frank keeps chattering at them.....

No cuckoo here yet, either, but it has been later in the past. Swallows are certainly here and last Monday (30 April) I also saw the first swift, not the earliest ever here, but certainly earlier than most years.

Looks as if there might be a shortage of Cuckoos this year, although it's been going well here today. :)
