Dear Jopsy, that must be so annoying, it will mean you will have to do some more housework if it doesn't go soon.
I think it might have something to do with the thingummy and the interest rate, it must be very frustrating.
The houses round our way are very slow going at the moment as well.

Has it improved that much Jopsy?
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Hello Jopsy, i can think of a lot of ideas, but none of which i think would be of much help.
Have you really pushed the estate agent to make sure he is doing his job properly.
It might pay to get another agent involved, or swop altogether.
How about putting it onto the internet.
At this rate you will finish your 2/6d tin of polish.
Hope it goes soon.

has the agent put it up on rightmove.co.uk, a lot of buyers look there now.
we are selling one of our flats at the moment, sale was agreed at the asking price( which was over the agents valuation) in late march, we are hoping the solicitore will agree a completion date this week, the buyers are using the agents cheap legal package which effectivly means a call centre somewhere, so no enquiry, (like has your client got his mortgage offer yet) gets an answere in less than a week.
estate agents are used to raking in the commision from the easy sales and dont appear to like to have to put some effort into the ones that arnt going smoothly,

Rightmove used to have a good reputation but this has been tarnished slightly since it was taken over by four big Estate A's. (It got a bit too big for its boots!)
Try www.thinkproperty.com and if you're really p****d off with the agents, you could always try selling it yourself through www.thelittlehousecompany.co.uk which I've heard positive things about!
On a downside, perhaps your house has been over-valued. House prices are generally pretty inflated, and perhaps your area of the market is beginning to show signs of a slow-down. But 4 weeks isn't that long. Something will come up!
