.....which is your favorite.

I'm discussing the benefits of chocolate on another thread so thought i'd ask. Which is your favourite.

I'm very partial to very dark choccie (80%)and chillie chocolate and lavender chocolate. I like Green and Blacks Organic (now owned by Cadbury) Lindt, and anything Belgian or Swiss.

So, what's yours?

Green & Black's dark organic chocolate's my favourite too. I heard a programme on chocolate on the radio the other day and they were saying you could tell good quality dark chocolate by its colour. If it's black it's poor quality - it means they've roasted the beans too long to try to extract extra flavour. The best is a dark red/brown.
I'm also partial to milk chocolate/caramel combinations, though.

I'm not a big chocolate fan but if I have a choice I'd go for white.

i did read somewhere that there is no machine that can separate cocoa beans and cockroaches so some chocolates have about 20% added protein :twisted: my tesco rich dark choc wrapper says its only 5.8% protein so ill trust thats pure :D

There was something a month or so back on Radio 4 about chocolate - Death By Chocolate, i think the programme was called and hosted by Jo Brand. Did someone drown in a vat of chocolate?

Anything with more than 80% cocoa solids for me. Putting milk in chocolate is like puting cranberries and other such foreign bodies in cheese - against nature. As for white chocolate, that's about as useful as alcohol free wine :!:

I thought white chocolate wasn't chocolate at all. Something about not having cocoa solids in it. Could be wrong, though.
