jopsy, glad to hear the little one is back to normal, but just a word of caution, you know your child better than any doctor and you know when they arn't themselves, bypass n.h.s direct and take them straight to caz.i had this with my then 2 yr old who was running a fever and a bad cough for a few days.i just gave her calpol and simple linctus,as i thought that is all the doc would give her.then she develpoed conjunctivitis and i tool her too a walk in centre as i knew she needed the drops.it turned out she hsd phumonia and had to be rushed to alder hey were she was put on introvenus antibiotics and was in the ozzie for a couple of weeks and on oxygen.i felt so bad and a crap mum,but this was all down to going to doctors and them saying i fuss too much, and this time i didnt want to fuss.well now i dont give a s**t if they think i fuss,i will never let a doc intimidate me ever again and my baby, although she is now 7 yrs goes to the docs at the first sign of a cough.i work for the n.h.s,dont complain to them, complain to a place called P.A.L.S.Their address should be in your local directory, they are part of the N.H.S ,but deal with complaints.
Love you lots like Jelly Tots

Malk - don't do what we did - one every 18 months for the first 4 and then a 3 year gap! You need a strong constitution physically and mentally to survive that! And I had no parents or in laws locally either. However we have lovely memories of their childhood now and they are all very close and supportive to each other as young adults. On a positive note - 2 children close together - 18 months apart - is not double the work of 1 child - and so on, because they amuse each other. So many people seem to have their children well spaced out these days, and it seems to me that this is hard work.
