Went for a walk with the dog in the park. There was a donkey there which he followed around, think he thought it was just a big dog

Went to the lottie and finished digging where my new lawn and flower beds are going to be. Got a problem with the dreaded bindweed, although there wasn't any leaves to be seen, so had to dig, just to be on the save side. It's taken me over a week but I finially finished it, half the plot is now dug and every spadeful examined for bindweed and couch. Sorted

Finished picking the PSB and started taking the plants up, ready for planting the new crops.

Stuff in the greenhouse is coming on in leaps and bounds. Will soon be time to start potting on and the annual scrummage for space.

Unfortunately, heard the news that an ex member of the site passed away very peacefully early this morning. I will miss seeing the old bugger around the place and hearing him say "Oh, are you sure you want to do it that way?" He'll be missed. He had an allotment on site for at least 30 years and only gave up 2 years ago when it got too much for him. I enjoyed his company and his wicked, dry sense of humour.

All in all, a good day with lots done and loads of laughs with Grock remembering Taffy and his ways.
Lots of love

We had a bit of rain, too, but still got our early potatoes in. Also finished measuring up the new herb and salad bed at home and planted some chives, parsley and a French tarragon. Lots of other herbs coming on from seeds in the greenhouse. So this year we won't need to go all the way to the allotment (a 20 minute walk) to get a sprig of parsley or a lettuce!
