My onions from seed are now 6/7 inches tall.
Is it now time to plant them out. Can I trim the tops say to 3/4 incces as we do with leeks ,or would this not be a good thing to do.
Advice please.

I am looking at my onions thinking it is nearly time to put them out, but what ever you do DONT cut the leaves off.

Been thanked: 1 time

Some of mine went out a couple of weeks ago and the rest will go out this weekend.
As Paul says, don't trim them.

Mine are all out too. Looked a bit sad at first, but they're growing happily now.
