Hi Alan
Thank you for those web sites,I'm trying to get my tongue around some of those words, I did speak it many, many many years ago, but lost it for want of practice, a case of use it or lose it.
I've enjoyed reading those old sayings and blessings, I have added them to my favourites so I can go back on them at any time I like.
Sorry for taking so long to thank you, haven't got a gaelic one to finish off with yet.

Hi Bren

Try the Sister Fidelma mysteries by Peter Tremayne.

They are based in early Ireland and go into detail about the Brehon law enforcers. Also use a lot of the Gaelic

As for St Patricks Day, I believe you couldn't move here in the capital of Ireland. I didn't see any of it as been ill for a week and missed all the fun. As usual, people had a great time and there were many delicate looking people around. I'm looking forward to my little Dublin escapade with the fabulous Twirly. A few Dublin wives had better lock up their husbands cos Lizzies dropping in Dublin
