Using apple prunings

My DH pruned our five 50 year old massive apple trees yesterday. Its my job as usual to tackle the mountains of prunings which always takes days and days. I did a google image search of "made with twigs" and found I can make the darned things into rustic doormats and table mats and coasters for our patio table. So that is what I am doing today !
Sounds good. You can also use the thicker ones as pea sticks.
