Dear Steve, hope Daniel gave you a pelting with snowballs.
What a clever idea to show what happens to seedlings when they have to much heat and low light levels, i bet theres a lot of people that have got some like that on there window sills.
I was wondering have you got a big master plan of the vegetables you will be growing in the kitchen garden down on paper, or are you planning it in your head as you go along.
There must be a lot more pressure compared to doing allotment veg for yourself.
Hope you get a nice lot done at the allotment, it will make a nice change from gardening.
Until next week.

Hello Steve,
Thank you for the update....the greenhouse contents look familiar.
We have one section that houses Arum, a centre greenery display with Bird of paradise at its centre and the rest of the staging given over to an eclectic Geranium collection... Our Cannas are tucked up in a veg' crate under the staging.
Our greenhouse centre section, with a Grape vine that gets mildewed up due the fact that we incorrectly use the same section for Geranium, Pelargonium etc, currently houses potted bulbs, also Primula obconica and Cineraria coming on.
The Western end section heated with electric tube heaters..and hopefully soon to be subject of some repair..houses the propagator, and a gravel tray with warming cable...and is home to another ecclectic collection of allsorts.!!
Meanwhile out in the garden this week...I was getting on well early in the week despite being technically poorly.
...Had the big cylinder mower out on Monday and trimmed the main lawn..all ready for the frost of the next day
Then planted a "Bountiful" Apple tree in the end of the Cottage garden and painted some mower componants.
Tuesday..mighty frosty at first..so we went to sort out Hazel... all now cut for Bean pole and Pea sticks etc. This area of Hazel established in 2000 is already supplying good sticks/poles.
In the afternoon it had thawed enough to hoe/weed troublesome weedy Iris bed....and replace a fruit tree and its post in the Apple cordon pergola..."Greensleaves"
Wednesday...I went out with the big Dori rotary mower to do an annual cut down of an area of no mans land just outside the garden boundary...done on frosty day to give it a right good shattering trim up...meanwhile Steph' and Pat gave the Apple pergola trees a prune up.
Thursday was a mucky wet lot at times but we got a pile of logs saved from many tree prunings in the gardens turned into logs for the shed stove..
Friday..I was under instruction to take it easy due to underlying poorly..so I did..and so had a good walk round lining up many tasks for our volunteer helpers this next week
..given some fair weather...and then left early for a blood test appointment.
Hope you don't mind me posting this under your update Steve....it is sort of paralleling your work..in a n other garden..and I felt like typing it.!!...whilst under instruction to be sat on my bottom doing very little this weekend.!!
All the best with your projects,
Clive.
