Carol Klein was planting peas and beans in her programme this evening.(BBC 2) She showed a runner bean with pink flowers but couldn't name it. I have checked the web site but it is not mentioned.
Anyone have any ideas as to which variety it might be?

Hi Beryl, i have bought a 3 colour pack of beans from Thompson and Morgan Called Summer Medley containing red, pink and white flowers. It doesn't say which is which and as i have only just started growing veg i don't either but here are the 3 varieties "Desiree", "Sunset" and "Lady Di".
Hope this helps :D

Did a google for you and Sunset is described as having pale peach flowers.

Many thanks for your quick reply.

It is so pretty and as I always grow White Lady I thought it would make a nice contrast.

Thanks again

Beryl.

Thanks for all the info. I was just looking in the Thompson Morgan catalogue and found Sunset. Summer Medley sounds good too - decisions decisions.
I have grown Lady Di before but not Desiree.

Glad to be able to help, the reason i went for the three colour pack was beacuse the birds pick alot of my red flowered beans last summer so i will be doing an experiment to see which ones they leave alone :D

I grew a mixture of 4 types (and colours) last year which was a pack from Wilkinsons. They looked lovely and tasted good too.
