Well, I have a lot to do yet, despite the time off work, I have only just got back to full strength, and able to dig, and it has been too wet, dry today but more rain from Tuesday.

I am sure before we know we will be on our plots raking soil to a tilth and debating about when to put the spuds in, just going to order my seeds now, Moles and DT Brown I think with a few rarities from Seeds of Italy.

My greenhouse which was not new when I got it needs some TLC I think I am going to order some plastic on line and replace the broken glass with it, making other repairs with clear sillicon. None of my usual suppliers seem to have good peat free compost in stock that is not from last year, so will be a slow start here.

I am sure it will be a different year, but we will all make the best of it.

Weatherwise wasn't it a lovely day today?

One of my allotment neighbours had errected an aluminium greenhouse a month or so ago....he obviously hadn't fixed it down as it was found somewhat rearranged several plots away this morning....he hadn't glazed it either so it surprised me that it had actually took off.

I have now completed the base for my small greenhouse ready for the big move within the next two weeks...weather permitting.

A 4' x 4' is being detached from an 8'x 6' and moved to another bit of the plot hence to new base...the 8' x 6' it was attached to is then going onto another plot to live

I will then be rushing to get the old base moved and ready to take a dismantled 10' x 8' that I have acquired....all that hopefully in time for seed planting next month.

Spring is coming folks...cheer up :D
I am in my own little world, ...it's OK, ...they know me there!

Bright sunshine and no rain here all day. Noticeably colder this evening.

Did some digging. Moved into the tunnels and sowed 3 more lots of onions and another tub of carrots.

Then sat in the sunshine making up the labels (for the next few weeks worth of sowings) with my Lidl bargain Brother gizmo.

Lovely day. Dinner's cooking and OH is making bread. :D

You should come and live here in Northamptonshire. The freecycle here has so many messages I've given up reading it! Is everyone on Dartmoor too tight to give anything away then?
