Over Farm Shop is our favourite stop when we take the road to Surrey. We particularly like the pork with apple burgers. The last sprouts on a stick from there were disappointing, much the best in Hereford are in the Butter Market, locally grown and fresh.
We are attending Orcop Thursday Market this week, if only we had more watercress but with other eager customers half a polytunnel is nowhere enough.Rocket and polycress also go out of the door too fast and winter purslane missed the boat so far.Sugar Loaf Chicory now at its best and least bitter, with no protection at all.

fraid i got a bm frozen turkey in tesco last week when they were marked as half price, largest one there was £12. will cook it upside down so all the moisture drops into the breast, mother in law is a veggie so oh wont be eating meat on the day either and the rest of the gaggle round the table will not notice the difference.

Mr Potato Head
Apparently, these guys do really big turkeys... and they're all locally grown

They're only round the corner from me, so I think I see a fine xmas dinner coming.

Mr Potato Head, if you think you are going to get a really fine Christmas dinner, i take it, you will not be doing the cooking then.

Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

You naughty OH!
I'll have you know I'm an excellent cook. Certainly a better cook than a gardener... over the weekend, a crack team of rabbits broke in to my brassica patch and ate all (and I mean all) of my broccoli, sprouts and cabbages...
Looks like it's just going to be ostrich with roast parsnips & leeks this year.
