Yesterday afternoon when i was workng at the big house, it started to chuck it down with rain. I had cut the last of the big hedges in the morning, and was clearing up all the trimmings, i was on the second from last barrowfull, just taking it through the trees to the bottom of the garden.
All of a sudden there was this massive blinding blue flash, followed by the loudest crack of thunder i've heard for a long time, i'm not sure exactly where it struck, but it was very close.
I must say i don't scare very easily, but that was a little to close for comfort.
So i'm afraid you lot will have to put up with me for a little longer.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I think we can endure your presence without too much trouble (sarcasm). Probably just as well not to cling to a metal wheelbarrow in a thunderstorm.
All is well that ends well.

At least you didn't hear any voices immediately after the 'flash and crash'...that would have been worrying

Glad your still around

Hearing thunder is always a good sign - means you've survived the lightning.

No can do Chantal, not able to have children myself, unfortunately, but I reckoned you might want to get some practice in on the jargon with Jopsy, to 'stand you in good stead' as it were....!
