I'm prepared to be kind to her Peter as she's poorly today - but tomorrow may be a different matter.

She's only jealous. :P   :!:

Nah, it's sinusitis; my head is in serious danger of exploding. I bought some smelling salts today and snorted them but I can't smell anything. People all around me were reeling from the (alleged) stink but I've no idea what they smell like. I fear I may never taste or smell anything ever again!

If it's the same dreaded lurgy I got a week or so after being chucked out of Gloucester Royal, I'd shoot them on site if I found them, but so far Trousers has not 'caught it'.
It starts with a really sore throat that you can't swallow. Then it turns into THE most appauling head cold and makes you feel all round completely crap.
And for a girl to feel like that, and admit it, it's GOT to be serious !!

I wish you lots better soon Chantal.....

Hi Wellie, I do have a sore throat but I fear that is because I'm snoring all night 'cos I can't breathe properly   I'm thinking of scooting to the doctor's today as now even my teeth are hurting and frankly I've had ENOUGH!

Tim is less than sympathetic and says I have nothing wrong with me so what am I moaning about; he didn't even know what sinusitis was. I hope HE gets it the miserable git. At least he bought me some grapes on Monday but he didn't have to take the p**s and sit and peel them for me. I can't even take time off work and feel sorry for myself as all my staff are off sick too. Aaaaaaaaaaagh

I'm off to steam my brains with some Friar's Balsam which is the next weapon in my arsenal of things that stink. Rosie is refusing to come anywhere near me now as she hates, methol, smelling salts et al.

I must say seeing James Martin on TV last night made me feel somewhat better. I'm sure if he came round with some Vick I'd improve no end

I seem to have the sore throat bit - thanks Chantal  Hopefully wont get the "cavity wall insulation" head cold bit. I`m off to Dorset to a funeral tomorrow so I should be able to spread it around the country .
Taking buttercup syrup and strepsils already but the hot toddies sound a much better idea Wellie

You must have been snoring too then   'cos I don't have one since I had a cup of tea. The cold I had last week was sore throat free too, so it wasn't ME!

Did you know that some of the clever folk around believe that the 2 most common causes of sinusitis are pork and chocolate?

For once - I was being absolutely serious. I worked with a Consultant who used to defer surgical procedures for sinusitis until people had tried removing these from their diet for a few months.
