Likewise puzzled by the ref to a new look.??...
...however, I did download Internet Explorer 7 the other day and that changed the look of things..I should have known better but I was worn down by the repeated appearance of the update symbol...I only ran it briefly..it seemed to have sent all the text fuzzy :? ...and I think the forum text was then blue...and fuzzy.??..so I cranked the 'puter quickly back to IE6...

Perhaps he means the rather unappealing "FREE GIFT" logo that has replaced the usual rather pleasant themed artwork.

hi compo, ive not noticed any changes, has your browser updated itsself? if its a problem ive recently found a thing in windows xp called system restore, xp saves all the system settings every couple of days so by running system restore you can pick a day in the last month or so and reset the settings to that point, click on start, search, type in system restore and follow the links
has anyone else had a problem finding video card drivers to run sims2 ? it wont run with our existing set up and downloaded uptodate drivers (ati radeon 9200 series)crash the system completly. it looks like we will have to install a new card just so the kids can run this xxxxx game.

WE need a techie!

I am posting this at work and the layout is as it always has been...at home on Win XP it is definitely different (very different) and as someone said earlier this could be related to my browser settings, I do remember it updating itself the other day with something to do with Java X. Things like this bring out the Victor Meldrew in me. Howevver. i because of my job I know my own mind, and I haven't imagined it believe you me!!!

hi compo, ours kept asking about updating java, as it seemed to be working ok i ignored it and its stopped asking now. if it aint broke dont fix it :P
if youre feeling brave try running system restore, but if you can live with it it may be better to wait for more informed advice.

Even weirder, I really thought that I had fairly good pc knowledge.............but today it is back how it always has been, but I promise, the last few days on this laptop it has been very different. I rarely drink and do not take any medication prescribed or otherwise!!
