Aaww...Thanks Kevin...
And, Franksmum, sadly my cat has a 'selective hearing' problem, as does Trousers...!

Trousers must be like me Wellie, and has a build in "whinge" filter. They work tremendously well and increasing volume still does'nt penetrate, Just ask Piglette.
No, I've just looked it up for you Mrs. Orbison.
It's chromOsome with an O in the miggle.
And incidentally Mr. Piglet - you completely missed the clue that Trousers gave you to take a peak at this thread, because YOU MISSED MY BIRTHDAY you big porky pig... I'm STILL weeping into my hankie as I write.... It'll cost you !

Looks like I missed your hairy burpday too Wellie! So sorry.
Was it yesterday? That's the same as my middle son's. He got an amp. What did you get?
He also used to have a penchant for running around naked when he was little. We don't have a photo of him without his little winkle on view.
Was it/ is it the same for you?

Wot. You think I'm a tranny now, eh?!
I can assure you that Trousers wouldn't even come NEAR me. I'm all Girl Girlie, and the only similarity to your son who shares-ish a birpday wiv me (26th) is that when Arsenal score a goal, I run round the house with my t-shirt up over my head shouting "it's a GOAL!". I hate football, and I only do it because it makes Trousers laugh uncontrollably.... and I just LOVE making him laugh..
Cat brought me two mice and a rabbit.
Trousers got me a card (REALLY funny) and previously a MAGNIFICENT 2 gallon Haws old-fashioned aluminium watering can that will still be kicking up the daisies long after I'm not....
So, your son's a Scorpio
too !!
We're SUCH lovely peeps, aren't we ?!
Thank you Jenny !

I would have said the female equivalent of a winkle if I could have thought of what it is?! But I'm sure the image of you running round the house with your top pulled up over your head has quickened a few of the gentlemen's pulses on here! (Don't you bump into things?)
Actually, my sister's birthday is the 26th (yes, the Scorpios are taking over in my family). And, yes, I'm sure the Scorpio influence is responsible for my son's rude behaviour.

Dear Wellie, bet Trousers hopes they are high scoring games.

Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Peter,
Apologies for resurecting this thread but now the birthday celebrations are over
I thought you might be interested in the SVP 'humane' mouse trap. The benefit of these is that you can catch six (or maybe more) in one hit, thus saving time and energy. Still, it looks like you're knocking them out pretty quick now anyway
I found the conventional spring type traps are pretty useless unless you 'wire' the bait on which is fiddly, time consuming, and in my case needs gloves since I don't like touching where they've been.
Perhaps someone can advise me but I was told that mice also carry the Chrones disease that is so deadly in rats.............is that true??
Edited to add the web site of SVP - I bought mine at Homebase

Crohns disease is an inflamation of the lower gut, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crohn%27s_disease
What I think you meant was Weils disease or leptospirosis, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weils_Disease
It affects the liver and in the UK it's commonest vector is the brown rat.

Peter,
You are absolutely correct
As SWMBO often tells me the old brain is fading (Lots of other parts too
)
Anyway, if anyone can confirm that mice carry it I would be grateful. I received this information during a health & safety lecture as part of my 'induction' into a certain London transport company which (in case you're not aware) is absolutely ridled with rats and mice.
