Im sure I read somewhere in KG that now is a good time to plant Peas & broad beans. I have yet to get any broad beans, but was delighted that my free seeds came this morning (only took a week, usually take several, so delighted)and I was eagerly hoping to plant some peas. The variety is greensage and planting info says sow March-June. So can I plant now? maybe in greenhouse? I am in the south/south west.
Also cabbages (April)should have been planted by August, is it worth planting some now?
And, Aubergine (Calliope Fi Hybrid) Could I plant some of these in greenhouse for out of season Aubergines?
Don't want to waste seeds, but keen to utilise the greenhouse overwinter, no just store fuschia in it!
Thankyou in anticipation ............

You can sow broad beans now, and as long as your peas are winter hardy (round seeds) you can put them in now as well. I've not sown peas to grow through winter before - I have grown broad beans though - but I would have thought the birds will absolutely love them! Make sure you net them!
Unless the broad beans specifically mention autumn planting sow them no earlier than February. Aquadulce is the usual November sowing type.
Generally if in doubt follow the packet instructions. Some seed catalogues have a planting guide.
