Anybody got any ideas what to do with unripe figs. I have quite a few and I can't see them ripening this year. (First year I've had any at all!)
Sweet or savoury I'll try anything to prevent having to compost them.
Thanks

Can you REALLY cook with unripe figs?
Personally, I've never heard of it, and would steer away from anything unripe to cook with.
Always willing to learn though !

Lots of people seem to like unripe tomatoes - either fried or in chutney!
I am still hoping to be able to use the figs.

Sorry if this reply is late, but I would personally avoid cooking green figs as they are not ripe.

To ripen up the figs you could try putting them near some bananas or putting them in a paper bag in a dark place.
