I created a new small rockery on the allotment and planted it up with over 200 spring bulbs. During the night Mr. & Mrs. Brock devoured the lot for their supper. So if you have badgers in your area and are thinking of planting bulbs - be warned and give them some protection.
I have now replanted and covered the area with a cage of netting.
Beryl.
Warning if you are Planting bulbs.

Dear Beryl, sorry to here about the loss of your time and bulbs.
I think your's is the only allotment that i know that has a rockery, it should like quite gay in the spring when all those bulbs are in flower, lets hope the badgers don't get them again, they can be so persistant.
Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

Thanks Herbaceous,
Actually the plot next to mine has a rockery - but no bulbs planted. I do have lots of other bulbs planted over the years but I suppose they are so far down and not in such soft easy get atable soil.
Another lesson learned.
Regards
Beryl.
