pak choi trouble

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

My pak choi seedlings have been munched by little green caterpillars – I can just about deal with this because I can squash them. Trouble is, they also seem to be suffering from an infestation from some tiny little white maggot things. Does anyone know what these could be and if so what action should I take? many thanks

Hi -
Sorry I have no answer, only the same question. These tiny white maggots are making white wiggly trails over some of the leaves of my pak choi and also some of the lettuce, but they only go for one or two leaves, not the entire plant. I have never come across them before.
Regards, Lyn

This isn't much of a consolation BPP but the ones we bought last week in the Oriental supermarket had the very same beasties in!

good news for anyone who shared this affliction - my pak choi seedlings seem to have recovered their vigour so it looks like the white maggoty things aren't so serious after all.
