I do wish you had had a reply to your post, as I have just put in some raspberry cuttings and it would have been a useful answer for myself also.
Going with what I know about other plants I would chance pruning to encourage the new growth needed to provide the fruit...hope this helps.

Yes, prune as usual. 
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Thank you for your advice regarding the raspberry canes.
In fact I tried to reply, but initially my password was not accepted. This was my first posting since the forum was redesigned. It all seems much more complicated than the old method. Must be my age!!
