Hi there. Has anyone grown tom thumb pumkins before. I have two good pumpkins one going orange and the other still green. The leaves on the plant with the green pumpkin look weird. They are going brown and curling up - dry looking. The stalks all look healthy and not all leaves are affected yet. Cant see any disease on the pumpkin though. Any ideas what it could be and whats causing it? Do you think it will ruin the pumpkin for eating ?
thanks Seedling

Hi Seedling. It could just be heat stress that has damaged some of the leaves. I've had squash plants look like this before after a hot spell as I can't always get to the allotment to water regularly. With some remedial watering after the event, they have put out new leaves and the fruit has been fine, if a bit smaller than usual.
Unless you really need the space for other crops, I would wait & see.
